Always stick with your Buddy

Sunday, we were reminded, how much God loves us. So much so, He desires to hear from us anytime, anyplace on anything. We are told to ask for things, petition, pray for others, pray for ourselves, be thankful, and praise God. As Don gave example of the buddy system on outdoor adventures, I was reminded of a favorite children’s book which tells of a very important safety tip: Always stick with your buddy. Jesus is the buddy we need to have with us every day. Not only to help us through the dark parts of the day, but to share the joys. In everything we do, everywhere we go, and in every emotion we endure, we should take our safety buddy with us. God wants to hear about the struggles, He wants to hear about the successes. He wants to hear about the concerns, and about the thankfulness. He wants to share in the pain and joy. If we take Him with us, talking to him throughout our day, imagine how much more peace of mind we will have even when tragedy or hardships are in front of us. To pray without ceasing, is to keep a connection with God. The connection is strong, even with short direct observations, comments, requests, pleads, and praise that can occur all times of day. Let God be your safety buddy, because the world is full of potholes and dangers. Let Him lift you up by keeping your daily connection strong.
