Its a New Year

Happy New Year!

All around us the world is celebrating the feeling of excitement and joy for the new year. With a new beginning we have the ability to wipe clean from the old thing and start new. in the New Year we can make better decisions, be better people, improve our lot. This is true each morning God blesses us with. So, while this feeling of excitement and newness is around us, let it inspire you each day to a better walk with God.

Isaiah 43:18-19

Do not call to mind the former things

Or ponder things of the past.

Behold I will do something new;

Now it will spring forth.

Will you not be aware of it?

I will even make a roadway in the wilderness

Rivers in the desert.

It is a great reminder that each day, even each moment, we can do better. You do not need a new year, you only need Christ in all your moments. Renewing your walk today, every day, will help keep you on the Path. Since we all fall short, we all need to get up and start again, forgetting or forgiving the past, and moving forward.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

The life in Christ is about becoming a new creature and doing away with the old. And with the New Year we have another opportunity to be reminded of our New Life in Christ.
